Jacquemus Appoints Sarah Benady as CEO

Sarah Benady

On March 4, French fashion brand Jacquemus announced the appointment of Sarah Benady as its new CEO. Having previously served as President of Celine North America, where she played a key role in the brand’s upscale positioning, Benady will work alongside Simon Porte Jacquemus, the brand’s founder and artistic director, to drive international expansion and business growth.

A graduate of HEC Paris, Benady brings extensive expertise in brand strategy and international expansion. She began her career at Cartier’s Hong Kong branch, later gaining experience in the merchandising department of French department store Printemps. She subsequently held key management positions at The Kooples and ba&sh, where she successfully led their international market growth.

Most recently, she served as President of Celine North America, spearheading the brand’s luxury-focused strategy. With over a decade of experience based in New York, she has now relocated to Paris, preparing for her next chapter at Jacquemus.

Expansion of Retail and Entry into the Fragrance Market

With Benady’s appointment, Jacquemus is set to accelerate its retail expansion and debut in the fragrance market. In February 2025, the brand formed a partnership with French beauty giant L’Oréal, appointing the company as its long-term licensee and minority shareholder. This move paves the way for Jacquemus’ first-ever fragrance development.

Additionally, the brand plans to open a new store in Los Angeles by late April 2025, followed by a Miami location in the first quarter of 2026. Beyond these openings, Jacquemus is also eyeing further expansion in Europe, as well as potential market entry into South America and Asia.

Under its new leadership, Jacquemus is poised to strengthen its global presence and luxury strategy, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the brand.
