On December 8, American apparel giant Gap announced its first-ever collaboration with cult-favorite beauty brand Summer Fridays, launching a limited-edition collection ahead of the holiday season. The collection will debut on December 12 and marks Summer Fridays’ official entry into the apparel category.
The 20-piece lineup blends Gap’s classic, comfort-driven design with Summer Fridays’ minimalist Southern California aesthetic. The offering centers around “feel-good” essentials, including soft knitwear, fleece sets, matching pajamas, and gift-ready accessories. The color palette incorporates signature Summer Fridays shades—Pink Sugar, Cherry, Vanilla, and Jet Lag Mask Blue—translated into easy, lounge-focused pieces.


Gap president and CEO Mark Breitbard commented on the collaboration: “Gap and Summer Fridays are built on the same idea – that products designed to make you feel good and bring comfort and joy never go out of style. This collaboration celebrates everyday essentials in a way that feels fresh, modern, and authentic.”
Marianna Hewitt, co-founder of Summer Fridays, also reflected on the partnership: “There’s such a natural synergy between Gap and Summer Fridays – we both believe in creating easy, timeless essentials for everyday life. The campaign features actor Barbie Ferreira and centers on a theme of “getting ready to stay in,” rather than preparing to go out. Directed by Charlie Di Placido and photographed by Leoor Wild, the visuals capture an effortless blend of self-care and personal style.


The Gap × Summer Fridays collection will be available online at Gap.com and in select Gap stores across the U.S. and Canada, as well as in international markets including the UK, the Middle East, Peru, and Turkey. Prices range from $28 to $98. Customers who spend $125 or more will receive a limited-edition gift-with-purchase bundle featuring Summer Fridays’ best-selling beauty items, available both online and in stores while supplies last.
In addition, on launch day, the Gap store at The Grove in Los Angeles will host a special “Cozy Gifting Pop-Up.” The event will feature sweet treats, custom embroidery with purchase, an interactive charm bar, and an appearance by campaign star Barbie Ferreira, offering guests a festive and immersive in-store experience.
