The luxury beauty brand LANCÔME is advancing a new scientific frontier: skin longevity. Through a strategic partnership with Swiss longevity science biotechnology company Timeline®, the brand is introducing an approach that goes beyond conventional anti-aging care to focus on cellular vitality.
This collaboration builds on L’Oréal Group’s 2024 investment in Timeline®, marking a symbolic step toward formally connecting beauty with longevity science.
Targeting Cellular Energy — The Introduction of Mitopure®
At the core of the partnership is Mitopure®, a proprietary molecule developed by Timeline® following more than 15 years of research and over $50 million in R&D investment.
Mitopure® is a highly purified form of Urolithin A and has been clinically validated as a postbiotic that supports mitochondrial function through a cellular renewal process known as mitophagy. Mitochondria, often referred to as the powerhouses of the cell, are essential for energy production, and maintaining their function is closely linked to overall cellular health.
LANCÔME plans to introduce a new skincare line that combines Mitopure® with its own proprietary ingredients. Each product will be designed to address the skin’s biological age. As a leading beauty brand, LANCÔME is expected to be the first to deploy Mitopure® globally at scale.
Vania Lacascade, Global Brand President of LANCÔME, stated: “Longevity at Lancôme is not about appearance — it is the frontier of fundamental progress. By partnering with a pioneering innovator like Timeline, we aim to restore cellular vitality and offer women a new perspective on the future of their skin.”
Chris Rinsch, Co-Founder and President of Timeline®, also commented: “Our collaboration with Lancôme marks an exciting new chapter for Timeline. It represents a powerful opportunity to bring our longevity molecule, Mitopure®, closer to consumers and deliver its advanced skin benefits more broadly than ever before.”
Three Pillars Supporting the Longevity Strategy
This partnership completes LANCÔME’s broader “L’Oréal Longevity Integrative Science™” ecosystem. The brand has already been advancing two additional technological pillars:
1. Product Innovation
In 2025, LANCÔME introduced a product featuring a patent-pending rose-derived DNA ingredient. This component is known to enhance cellular longevity and metabolism and has demonstrated visible effects on signs of aging across different layers of the skin.
2. Beauty Tech: Cell BioPrint™
Developed in partnership with the Korean startup NanoEnTek, Cell BioPrint™ is a lab-on-a-chip skin analysis solution. By leveraging proteomics and microfluidic technologies to analyze protein biomarkers on the skin’s surface, it can estimate biological skin age and model the future trajectory of skin health. This enables a shift from reactive correction to proactive, data-driven care.
New Line to Be Unveiled at AAD
The new longevity skincare line incorporating Mitopure® is scheduled to be unveiled at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting, taking place from March 27 to 29, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.
By integrating advanced analytical technologies, breakthrough active ingredients, and deep insight into cellular processes, LANCÔME is not merely launching new products. It is proposing a new beauty paradigm — one that prioritizes sustained biological vitality over the illusion of youth. A new chapter begins at the intersection of beauty and longevity.
