On March 26, Pitti Uomo—one of the world’s leading menswear trade shows—announced that HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE will be the Guest of Honor at its 108th edition, taking place from June 17 to 20, 2025, in Florence, Italy.
A special event by the Guest of Honor brand is scheduled for June 18 in the heart of Florence. Expectations are high for how HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE, known for updating everyday wear through innovative pleating techniques and minimalist aesthetics rooted in the DNA of ISSEY MIYAKE, will present its vision in the Renaissance city.
Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, commented on the announcement: “We have long hoped to associate the name of the great Japanese brand with our event, and today we are finally able to share a long-awaited announcement: HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE will be the Guest of Honor at Pitti Uomo 108. This is our way of recognizing and celebrating the quality, creativity and originality of the brand, its success on a global scale – and, at the same time, highlighting the brand’s current creative direction, which has successfully reinterpreted the quiet, elegant magic of its founder: one of the designers, one of the artists, who marked the history of fashion in the twentieth century.”
The design team of HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE also shared their thoughts: “We feel grateful for this opportunity to be featured at one of the most celebrated menswear events around the world. On this occasion, we will present our Spring Summer 2026 collection to a local and international audience in Florence, created based on our research and field studies carried out during our travels across Italy.”
Launched in 2013, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE is a menswear brand that incorporates “garment pleating,” a signature technique of ISSEY MIYAKE. Known for its lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and quick-drying garments, the brand creates practical yet highly designed pieces. Its architectural silhouettes and freedom of movement have earned it international acclaim for balancing function and fashion in everyday wear.
The upcoming appearance at Pitti Uomo is expected to further strengthen the brand’s global presence.
