JD.com, China’s giant e-commerce platform, has opened its first warehouse in Paris to store apparel products for its international site JD Worldwide to streamline cross-border e-commerce between Europe and China.
Located in the Paris suburb of Val-d’Oise, the facility houses apparel, beauty products, jewelry, and luxury items from France, Germany, England, Italy, Spain, and other European countries. Currently, the facility hosts a carefully curated selection of over 100 brands.
“Our strategy focuses on expanding our supply chain to the very locations where brands are based. This approach not only meaningfully reduces fulfillment costs for local sellers but also provides faster delivery, competitive pricing, and reliable service for our customers,” said Louis Zhang, General Manager of Luxury & Fashion at JD Worldwide.
In addition to this consumer-focused initiative, JD Worldwide has launched a specialized online store that is directly connected to the Paris warehouse. By utilizing effective local inventory management, this platform guarantees easy access to the newest fashion arrivals and promotions. Furthermore, orders made through the JD app in China are promptly shipped for delivery, thanks to JD’s advanced cross-border logistics capabilities. Moreover, consumers can rely on the JD Smart Check service to authenticate and trace their imported purchases, providing them with an extra level of assurance.
Today, JD.com operates more than 1,600 warehouses, including major sourcing centers in Europe and elsewhere, an expanding global network of buyers, and approximately 90 bonded warehouses, direct mail warehouses, and overseas warehouses.
As a one-stop platform for imported and exported goods, the company continues to strengthen its commitment to increasing the sales efficiency of its brand partners worldwide.
