On March 16, Christian Dior Couture and UNESCO renewed their partnership to advance the empowerment of women leaders and the transmission of savoir-faire.
To mark the occasion, Delphine Arnault, President and CEO of Christian Dior Couture and member of the LVMH Board of Directors and Executive Committee, met with Khaled El Anany, Director-General of UNESCO, to sign the renewed agreement.
Mentees from the “Women@Dior & UNESCO” program were also present, sharing their personal experiences and reflecting on the growth and learning gained through their participation. The conversation spanned a broad range of topics — from creative leadership and social sustainability to the transmission of craft skills — exploring the competencies that will define the leaders of tomorrow.
Since its launch, “Women@Dior & UNESCO” has supported more than 2,800 participants from over 60 countries across a wide range of professional fields, extending well beyond the fashion industry.
The renewed partnership is built around two core commitments: promoting women’s education and empowerment, and fostering the transmission of savoir-faire — forming the foundation for the initiatives that lie ahead.
This alliance between Dior and UNESCO reflects a fashion house stepping beyond its industry boundaries to embrace a broader social mission. By simultaneously addressing the preservation of artisanal expertise and the development of women’s leadership, the initiative embodies a vision of sustainability in its fullest sense — and a model for what a contemporary brand can stand for.
