On November 22, sports company Puma announced the appointment of Ryokusai Inoue as the new general manager of Puma Japan. Inoue succeeds Kohei Hagio, who has been in charge of Puma Japan since 2021 and will report directly to the company’s CEO, Arne Freundt.
Inoue joined Puma in 2015 as Retail Director. He has laid the foundation for Puma’s solid growth in Japan by building a strong commercial base and strengthening the retail team through the channels owned and operated by the company.
“I’m glad that Ryokusai is returning to PUMA to lead this important market,” said PUMA CEO Arne Freundt in the press release. “I am very confident that with his vast experience in retail and his understanding of PUMA’s culture, products and sales, Ryokusai is the right candidate to take PUMA Japan to the next level.“
For the past year, Inoue has been working as country manager for Tesla Japan, but he is returning to Puma to serve in this new position.
