On April 1, Skims, the shapewear brand founded by Kim Kardashian, opened its first flagship store on the West Coast, choosing none other than Los Angeles as its latest home. Located in the heart of the iconic Sunset Strip, the boutique sits next to the beloved retro diner Mel’s Drive-In — a partnership that has resulted in the launch of a limited-time pop-up called “Skims Drive-In,” blending fashion and food in a uniquely immersive experience.
This new L.A. store follows the brand’s flagship opening on Fifth Avenue in New York in March 2024, marking another step in Skims’ aggressive retail expansion strategy. The brand opened stores last year in Austin, Atlanta, Aventura (Florida), Georgetown, and Houston, with further domestic and international openings on the horizon.
The Skims Los Angeles flagship is located at 8569 West Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. Designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, the 4,546-square-foot space features the brand’s signature skin-tone palette, rounded-edge fixtures, and an impressive 12-foot sculpture by artist Vanessa Beecroft, creating an immersive and artful shopping environment.
Inside, customers will find a wide range of products spanning shapewear, loungewear, underwear, and accessories, with prices ranging from $16 to $228. Popular collections such as Fits Everybody, Soft Lounge, and Seamless Sculpt are available, as well as standout pieces like the now-famous nipple bra. The store also carries romantic looks from the brand’s recent wedding campaign, as well as exclusive “Skims Loves LA” merchandise, with proceeds benefiting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

One of the most anticipated offerings is the upcoming NikeSkims collaboration, set to launch later this month. This marks Nike’s first new sub-brand since Jordan, making the partnership especially noteworthy. The collection will debut in-store ahead of its global rollout scheduled for 2026, bringing Skims’ signature fit to performance wear in a major crossover between style and sport.
Reflecting on the flagship’s opening, Kim Kardashian shared: “Opening a Skims store in Los Angeles is a full-circle moment. This city has been a huge part of my life, and having a space here where people can experience the brand in person makes it even more special.”
“We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead,” she continued.
The Skims Drive-In pop-up at Mel’s Drive-In is also making waves for its creative concept. Open from April 2 to 6, the limited-time experience features a nostalgic yet stylish menu curated to align with the Skims brand. Dishes include buttermilk pancakes, Nutella French toast, egg-and-bacon breakfast plates, burgers (including plant-based options), curly fries, chicken tenders, milkshakes, and more. Shoppers who visit the Skims store receive priority access to the pop-up diner.

Founded in 2019 with a focus on shapewear, Skims launched its men’s collection in 2023. The brand has since evolved into a lifestyle label and now serves as the official underwear partner of the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball, further solidifying its relevance in the activewear space.
Skims’ mission to “redefine essentials” has extended far beyond underwear. As the brand continues to grow into a full-fledged cultural force, its Los Angeles flagship stands as a powerful symbol of what Skims represents — a lifestyle shaped by innovation, inclusivity, and experiential design.
