Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios will launch its “first” fragrance since it was founded in 1996 on Wednesday, April 17.
The new fragrance, called “Acne Studios par Frédéric Malle,” was created in collaboration with Frédéric Malle. The team behind the creation included Acne Studios Creative Director Jonny Johansson, EDITIONS DE PARFUMS Frédéric Malle, and young perfumer Suzy Le Helley.
Known as the pioneer of luxury perfume in the modern era, Frédéric Malle founded Les Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle in 2000. Since then, the company’s expertly selected perfumers have created numerous famous fragrances for prestigious brands and are recognized worldwide for their exceptional skills and rare talent.
“Frédéric Malle manages to combine the classic and the avant-garde perfectly. For him, creativity always comes first. Nothing is dictated by marketing, simply by the desire to do beautiful things,” said Johansson about this collaboration.
The scent is clean, expressing freshly washed laundry, spacious flower fields, and fruity sweetness, and the breakdown of the perfume’s notes begins with pink aldehydes, violet and orange blossom in the top, followed by vanilla and peach in the middle. The base is sandalwood, incense, and musk. The fragrance’s scent profile reflects Acne Studios’ clothing design philosophy of clean lines and expressive elegance.
The premium fragrance will be available starting April 17 at Acne Studios and Frederic Malle boutiques in Europe, various department stores, and online at fredericmalle.com. The price is $295 for a 50 ml bottle and $470 for a 100 ml bottle. There are also plans to hold a pop-up store from April 22 to May 20.
