New York–born jeweler Tiffany & Co. has unveiled a newly designed pop-up at the 2025 U.S. Open. Located in the Fountain Plaza at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, the immersive space embodies craftsmanship, creativity, and a passion for sport. This marks the brand’s third consecutive year presenting a pop-up at the tournament.
A Striking Symbol and Iconic Trophies
The first thing to greet visitors is a giant Tiffany Blue tennis ball. Inside the pop-up, the Men’s and Women’s Singles Championship trophies are on display. Crafted by master silversmiths at Tiffany’s hollowware workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island, these trophies have graced the U.S. Open stage for nearly four decades since 1987.
Each trophy stands about 18 inches tall, weighs approximately nine pounds, and is made of sterling silver. Combining traditional techniques such as spinning, silversmithing, hand-chasing, engraving, and polishing, the creation of each piece requires around six months and 66 hours of meticulous work. They stand as a true symbol of Tiffany’s craftsmanship.
The Diamond-Accented “HardWear” Racket
Debuting this year is a one-of-a-kind bespoke tennis racket inspired by the brand’s iconic Tiffany HardWear collection.
The racket features nearly five carats of diamonds on the front. It is paired with a 24-karat gold vermeil tennis ball, set with about seven carats of diamonds along its seams. This striking fusion of sport and high jewelry exemplifies Tiffany’s extraordinary savoir-faire.
This year’s installation also introduces an AI experience in collaboration with Meta, allowing visitors to digitally transform into tennis stars and see themselves hoisting a trophy on center court—blending tradition with cutting-edge technology.
A Longstanding Legacy in Sports
Tiffany’s history of creating trophies dates back to the 19th century, when the jeweler crafted the Woodlawn Vase for the winner of the Preakness Stakes in 1860. Since then, the house has produced some of the world’s most prestigious sporting awards, including the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals and WNBA Finals trophies, the FIFA Club World Cup, the PGA Tour, and the Miami Grand Prix.
In 2022, Tiffany also created the trophy for the League of Legends World Championship, signaling its expansion into the esports arena. Today, the jeweler produces around 65 trophies annually, continuing to bring brilliance and prestige to the world of sports.
The Tiffany pop-up will remain open throughout the U.S. Open, from August 18 to September 7.
