The Italian luxury maison FENDI, based in Rome, has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 Pre-Collection designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi.
This season’s theme, “Social Butterfly,” celebrates a woman who moves freely between worlds—reviving old memories while gracefully dancing toward the future. Between work and play, day and night, freedom and discipline, the FENDI woman never forgets to express herself.
Where Rome Meets New York
The collection draws inspiration from two iconic symbols of elegance and exuberance: Rome’s mythical “Jackie O’” and New York’s legendary “Studio 54.” The fusion of Roman sophistication and 1980s New York hedonism results in sartorial sportswear reimagined with sensual tension.
A bold color palette inspired by the twilight of the disco era features turquoise, mandarin, slate blue, and blush pink, blended with coffee, burgundy, black, and white. The harmony of contrast, calmness, and imbalance embodies the artful duality that defines FENDI.
Tailoring Meets Femininity
Tailored fabrics are cut into peak-lapel blazers, boxy city shorts, and high-cuff oversized trousers, combining precision with ease. The essence of 1980s officewear and sportswear has been modernized through refined materials such as silk-cotton zip-up parkas, lustrous taffeta pieces, and zippered pencil skirts that transition effortlessly from day to night.
Elsewhere, polka dots and frills recall a youthful Silvia Venturini Fendi in her monochrome disco dresses, reinterpreted here with modern Roman femininity and playful abstraction.
The Party Spirit in Menswear
The men’s collection radiates a relaxed yet refined energy, built around jewel-toned layering and intricate craftsmanship. Velvet tuxedos with detachable satin lapels, butterfly-printed shirts, and jacquard denim infuse classic silhouettes with a sense of whimsy. Together, the men’s and women’s lines create a dialogue that balances timeless elegance with liberated expression.
A New Chapter for FENDI Accessories
Accessories take inspiration from the season’s abstract butterfly motif. Iconic pieces such as the Baguette, adorned with embroidered or sequined wings, and the Peekaboo, crafted in shearling and intarsia, redefine tactile luxury. The FENDI Spy returns in quilted denim, while footwear highlights include the FENDI Arco open-toe sandals with arched heels and Colibri pumps finished with soft satin ribbons that complete a light and feminine look.
The FENDI Spring/Summer 2026 Pre-Collection will be available from November 2025 at FENDI boutiques worldwide and online at fendi.com.
