The British luxury house Burberry has unveiled its High Summer 2026 campaign, set against the backdrop of the iconic British outdoor swimming pool, the lido. Bringing together family, friends, and local communities, the campaign captures the essence of the British summer, reinterpreted through a modern visual narrative spanning both film and photography.
A Visual Narrative Where Nostalgia Meets the Present
The campaign stars Simone Ashley and Tom Blyth, alongside Alba Claire, Babacar N’Diaye, and Sasha Quenby. Synchronized swimmers and divers also appear, creating a dynamic interplay between movement and stillness, both above and beneath the water’s surface.
The film is directed by Francis Plummer, with photography by Ryan McGinley. From sun loungers to diving boards, the camera traces moments of suspended motion—arcing dives mid-air and figures basking in the softness of afternoon light. Burberry towels lining the poolside emerge as a symbolic marker of the season’s arrival.
