Japanese haute joaillier MIKIMOTO presented its new high jewellery collection, “L’éclat,” at the Hôtel d’Évreux on Place Vendôme during the 2026 Paris Haute Couture Week.
“L’éclat” takes its inspiration from light released in an instant out of silence, describing a beauty that holds an inner glow like a pearl. In a setting filled with radiance, the collection’s pieces captured the many faces of light — energetic yet delicate — across a suite of extraordinary jewels.

“L’éclat”: Light Released from Silence

Within a light full of mystery, the brand’s origin lives on. A dazzling ray piercing the depths of the cosmos, the brilliance of a fleeting instant, the mystery of an endless universe — a run of light motifs threads through “L’éclat.” A glow held from within, as in a pearl, resonates with the flash of diamonds and coloured stones, translating the aesthetic MIKIMOTO has built as the originator of cultured pearls into contemporary high jewellery.
At the venue, original dresses created for the collection by designer Anna Choi set off the jewels, heightening their mystery and beauty. In 2018, MIKIMOTO joined the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode as a haute joaillerie house, and it continues to show its craft to the world on the Paris stage.
L’éclat Originel: A Ray Through the Cosmos
At the heart of the collection is the necklace “L’éclat Originel.” A dazzling ray piercing the depths of the cosmos is expressed through diamonds of varied cuts and sharply formed white mother-of-pearl, a necklace of fleeting brilliance illuminating the décolleté. White South Sea pearls, Akoya pearls, diamonds and white mother-of-pearl are gathered in 18K white gold.
A necklace and ring, from which brilliant light radiates out of a large white South Sea pearl, sound the same theme — their rich play of light telling of the mystery of an endless universe.
L’éclat Solaire: A Contrast of Colour
The necklace and earrings “L’éclat Solaire” release light from the neck across the décolleté with an overwhelming design and a weighty presence. Against the lustrous white of pearl, the green of tourmaline and emerald and the blue of sapphire form a contrast of colour that renders the expression of light vivid. Akoya pearls, tourmaline, sapphire, emerald and diamonds are built up in 18K white gold.
Stars and Galaxies: Brooches and Head Jewellery
The brooches carry the trace and dynamism of light streaking across a night sky. Combining distinct designs, they draw a scene of stars across the chest, with Akoya pearls, zircon, sapphire, tourmaline and diamonds set in 18K white gold.
Like a galaxy woven from countless stars, the head jewellery “L’éclat Stellaire” wears a magnificent drama of light. Its supple construction, following the curve of the head, is the crystallisation of exceptional craftsmanship, with Akoya and white South Sea pearls and diamonds weaving a net of light.
L’éclat Éternel and L’éclat Majestueux: Light Diffused, Light Flashing
The necklace and earrings “L’éclat Éternel” express the diffusion of light in constructive terms. Pearls edging their intricate forms, together with diamonds of varied cuts, mark a rhythm of brilliance across a shape brimming with creativity — a composition of Akoya pearls, diamonds and 18K white gold.
The shoulder brooch “L’éclat Majestueux” sublimates a flash of light thrown from a pitch-black distance. Clear-toned aquamarine and a form of surging light give the piece a striking presence, with aquamarine, tourmaline, tanzanite, diamonds and white mother-of-pearl gathered in 18K white gold.
