New York-based luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. has congratulated the New York Knicks on capturing the NBA Championship and lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the first time in 53 years.

Crafted in sterling silver with a gold vermeil finish, the trophy is designed to capture the moment a basketball passes through the hoop. Standing approximately 25.5 inches (64.8 cm) tall and weighing 30 pounds (13.6 kg), it is produced each year at Tiffany’s Hollowware Workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
The creation process incorporates a range of traditional metalworking techniques, including spinning, silversmithing, chasing, hand engraving, and polishing. Each trophy takes approximately seven months to complete, with artisans dedicating around 65 hours of hands-on craftsmanship to every piece.
In addition to the Larry O’Brien Trophy, Tiffany produces several of basketball’s most recognizable honors, including the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award, the WNBA Championship Trophy, and the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Championship Trophies.
