Emporio Armani Opens One of Japan’s Largest Flagship Stores on Ginza’s Miyuki Street

On June 14, Italian fashion powerhouse Emporio Armani unveiled a new flagship store on Tokyo’s prestigious Miyuki Street in Ginza. With a striking façade that skillfully combines glass and metal, the new boutique spans an impressive 900 square meters, making it the brand’s largest retail space in Japan to date.

The architectural design of the store, co-created by Giorgio Armani and his architectural team, echoes the aesthetic of the brand’s iconic flagship on Milan’s Via Manzoni. Carefully selected natural materials—including eco-resin flooring and natural cement walls and shelving—are brought together in soft beige tones, creating a tranquil and sophisticated atmosphere throughout the space.

The three-story layout is meticulously structured, with each floor serving a distinct purpose and aesthetic. The ground floor houses men’s and women’s accessories, watches, and jewelry, and also features a bar counter and the Emporio Armani Caffè, offering a refined escape from the bustle of the city.

The second floor showcases the women’s collection, while the third floor is dedicated to the men’s line. Each level reflects the brand’s vision and offers a cohesive and immersive Armani experience.

A particular highlight is the staircase designed by Giorgio Armani himself. With its commanding yet serene presence, the design evokes the calm beauty of a modern Japanese Zen garden, adding an elegant balance and stillness to the space.

Suspended from the ceiling is a large LED screen capable of dynamic visual transformations each season. Paired with minimalist fixtures and mirrored elements, it delivers a powerful, poetic interpretation of the brand’s evolving identity.

Rooted in Ginza—one of Japan’s most iconic districts—yet infused with a truly global sensibility, this flagship store represents a new chapter in Armani’s expression of contemporary luxury.
