The National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts (ANDAM) announced the 11 finalists for the 37th edition of the ANDAM Fashion Awards on June 3. The winners will be revealed on July 1, with a new generation of designers and brands competing for one of the industry’s most prestigious emerging talent awards.

Summary

  • ANDAM announced the 11 finalists for the 2026 Fashion Awards, with winners set to be revealed on July 1.
  • Returning finalists EgonLab, Zomer, and Phileo are drawing attention as repeat contenders in this year’s competition.
  • The 2026 edition features a record €700,000 prize fund across five award categories.
  • AMI Paris founder and 2013 ANDAM winner Alexandre Mattiussi will serve as jury president.
  • All finalists will receive extensive support, including mentorship, business development programs, sustainability workshops, and access to industry resources.

A Competition Where Persistence Often Pays Off

Among this year’s finalists, particular attention is being paid to EgonLab, Zomer, and accessories label Phileo, all of which return to the competition after reaching the final round in 2025.

ANDAM has developed a reputation for recognizing designers over time rather than through a single competition cycle. In recent years, several winners have secured the award after multiple attempts.

One notable example is Meryll Rogge, who won the 2025 Grand Prize after previously being selected as a finalist. Likewise, Sarah Levy, recipient of the 2025 Accessories Prize, was unsuccessful in her first attempt before ultimately winning the award the following year.

These examples highlight ANDAM’s role not only as a talent competition but also as a platform that evaluates and supports the long-term development of emerging fashion businesses.

Record €700,000 Prize Fund and Long-Term Support

One of the reasons ANDAM continues to attract strong interest from emerging brands is its extensive support system, which extends well beyond the awards ceremony.

The 2026 edition features a record-breaking prize fund of €700,000, distributed across five categories: the Grand Prize, Special Prize, Pierre Bergé Prize, Fashion Accessories Prize, and Innovation Prize.

In addition to financial support, winners receive long-term mentorship from industry leaders. All finalists also benefit from a comprehensive development program designed to help strengthen their businesses.

This includes access to materials provided by Balenciaga and Longchamp, strategic communications support from Karla Otto, sustainability workshops led by OTB Group, and business development mentorship from Zalando.

Alexandre Mattiussi to Chair the Jury

This year’s jury is chaired by Alexandre Mattiussi, founder and creative director of AMI Paris and winner of the 2013 ANDAM Grand Prize.

Reflecting on his appointment, Mattiussi said: “Chairing the 37th edition of ANDAM has a special resonance for me. Thirteen years ago, winning the prize transformed my life and gave decisive impetus to my career. ANDAM embodies something rare and precious: a genuine engagement to foster young designers and give them the freedom to dream in France. I’m immensely proud to be able in my turn to support the new generation.”

A Launchpad for Fashion’s Next Generation

Since its founding in 1989, ANDAM has helped launch the careers of internationally recognized designers, including Viktor & Rolf, Christophe Lemaire, Jeremy Scott, and Marine Serre.

Today, the competition places increasing emphasis not only on creative excellence but also on long-term business viability and brand development. As a result, the performances of returning finalists such as EgonLab, Zomer, and Phileo will be closely watched ahead of the July 1 announcement.
