Diptyque is a French luxury fragrance house founded in 1961 by three friends — Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Gautrot, and Yves Coueslant — on Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The brand began by selling printed fabrics and decorative objects before creating its first candle in 1963.

Diptyque’s scented candles, particularly Baies (Berries) and Figuier (Fig Tree), have become cultural icons and status symbols in interior design. The brand’s oval label and distinctive typography are instantly recognizable.

Beyond candles, Diptyque offers a curated collection of eau de toilettes, skincare, and home fragrances, all embodying the founders’ aesthetic of Parisian sophistication and artistic sensibility.
