Intellectual Luxury

Founded as a leather goods shop in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1913, Prada was transformed in the late 1970s when Miuccia Prada took over the family business. Her cerebral approach to fashion, which challenged conventional notions of beauty and taste, elevated the brand into one of the most intellectually stimulating forces in luxury fashion.

Design Philosophy

Miuccia Prada’s groundbreaking use of industrial nylon for luxury bags in 1984 subverted expectations of what luxury could look like. Her collections consistently explore complex ideas about femininity, power, and culture. Since 2020, she co-designs with Raf Simons, creating a unique dialogue between two of fashion’s most respected creative minds.

The Prada Group

The Prada Group, which also encompasses Miu Miu, Church’s, and Car Shoe, is publicly listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Under CEO Andrea Guerra, the group has been one of the strongest performers in the luxury sector, with Miu Miu in particular experiencing explosive growth.
