CFDA Announces Preliminary Schedule for New York Fashion Week in February 2024

On January 10, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)  announced the Preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) this February.

New York Fashion Week will take place over six days from Friday, February 9 through Wednesday, September 14, with more than 70 designers presenting their Fall/Winter 2024 collections.

Opening the glamorous Fashion Week will be Helmut Lang, in his second show since Peter Dawe took over as Creative Director. On the evening of Wednesday, February 14, Thom Browne will close Fashion Week 2024 with a show.

The following are brands to watch, including those returning to New York Fashion Week this season.

3.1 Phillip Lim, Altuzarra, Anna Sui, AnOnlyChild, Area, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Fforme, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu, Jonathan Cohen, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Luar, Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Puppets & Puppets, Sandy Liang, Sergio Hudson, Theophilio, Tibi, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, and Willy Chavarria.

Monse will make a comeback to the New York runway, and Delpozo, which last showed at New York Fashion Week in September 2017, will also host a presentation to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary. Lafayette 148 and Libertine will also return to the official NYFW schedule in February.

First-time participants are Bishme Cromartie, Callas, Colleen Allen, Jane Wade, and Meruert Tolegen. This season, Ludovic de Saint Sernin will also hold a show on February 11, which will be their first runway presentation outside of Paris.

2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Melitta Baumeister will make the digital debut of her latest work, while runners-up Diotima and Zankov and finalists Kim Shui and Tanner Fletcher will host presentations.
