Christian Dior : Designer of Dreams – Discover The New Exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo

”Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition finally arrived in Tokyo, Japan. The event will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) starting from December 21, 2022, to May 28, 2023. This is a retrospective exhibition that has traveled around the world, starting in Paris, then London, Shanghai, and New York.

The exhibition was curated by Florence Müller, and the space was directed by architect Shohei Shigematsu, a Partner of OMA. From the art that influenced founder Christian Dior, to his love of gardens, the magic of lavish balls, and his fascination with the rich creativity of Japan that influenced the Dior collections, discover amazing things, and more than 75 years of passion are spotlighted.

In the dreamy space where more than 1,500 items are exhibited, unveiled one by one are accessories and haute couture models from the past to the present, dreamed up by Christian Dior – including the quintessential Bar suit, an eternal emblem of the New Look – and by the various Artistic Directors who have succeeded him: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri.
