Milan Fashion Week will be held for 6 days from February 22 to 27. Milan Fashion Week, where collections of famous brands originating from Italy such as Parada and Gucci are presented, will consist of 56 physical runway shows and five digital displays, this season.
The first day of Milan Fashion Week will open with a digital show by We Are Made in Italy (WAMI), a collective of designers and fashion professionals of color. On the same day, big fashion brands such as Fendi, Diesel, Roberto Cavalli, and Etro will present their new collections. From the following day, Max Mara, Prada, MM6 Maison Margiela, Emporio Armani, Moschino, Tod’s, Gucci, Jill Sander, Dolce & Gabbana., Bally, and Giorgio Armani will also present their new collection.
Japanese designers Atsushi Nakashima and Tomo Koizumi are scheduled to participate. This time, Tomo Koizumi will hold a show at Milan Fashion Week with the support of Dolce & Gabbana. Dolce & Gabbana said about Mr. Koizumi’s work in a statement “characterized by lively chromatic choices, meticulous study of volumes, the theatricality of shapes, sartorial details, attention to body positivity, and an idea of unconventional female seduction.”
Mr. Koizumi said, “I am truly honored to be able to present my first Milanese show with the great support of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana,” “Dolce & Gabbana has created many iconic models that I have admired since I was a child and which have continued to inspire me to this day. This fashion show will be my first abroad after the pandemic: I really appreciate being able to celebrate this important moment together with the big Dolce & Gabbana family” he added.
