Strengthening a Relationship That Began in 2008

OTB’s relationship with Viktor&Rolf dates back to 2008, when the Group acquired a majority stake of 51% in the brand. In 2019, that stake was increased to 70%, supporting the Maison’s international expansion and long-term development.

The move to full ownership represents the next step in a partnership built on a shared vision and creative continuity. Throughout its investment, OTB has supported the business growth of the brand while maintaining its creative independence.

The announcement also follows an agreement signed in 2025 that confirmed Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren would continue as Creative Directors of the Maison for another five years. The two founders are expected to remain at the center of the brand’s creative and strategic direction.

An Influential Force in Haute Couture

Over the past three decades, Viktor&Rolf has earned international recognition for its experimental approach to fashion, consistently exploring the intersection between fashion and art. The brand’s theatrical concepts and sculptural silhouettes have helped establish a distinctive position within the world of Haute Couture.

In addition to Couture, the Maison has expanded into ready-to-wear, bridalwear, and eyewear. Its creations have also been exhibited at major cultural institutions around the world, including New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, and Rome’s MAXXI, underscoring its influence beyond the fashion industry.

Fragrance Business Remains a Key Growth Driver

The brand’s fragrance business continues to play an important role in its global success.

For more than two decades, Viktor&Rolf has partnered with L’Oréal Luxe to develop and distribute fragrances, including Flowerbomb, Spicebomb, and Bonbon. The fragrances remain among the Maison’s most recognized products in the global luxury beauty market.

OTB Founder and Chairman Renzo Rosso commented on the acquisition: “Viktor and Rolf are two of the most visionary and influential designers in contemporary fashion. Over the years, we have built an extraordinary journey together, founded on mutual respect, creative freedom and a constant drive to experiment with the most innovative languages of contemporary couture.

With this further step taken today, we are strengthening even more our bond with a Maison that is truly unique within the international luxury landscape and that continues to stand out for its creativity, artistic research and cultural relevance.”

Part of OTB’s Broader Luxury Growth Strategy

The acquisition is the latest step in OTB’s strategy to strengthen its luxury portfolio. The Group currently owns Diesel, Jil Sander, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Viktor&Rolf, while also holding a stake in American luxury brand Amiri.

With Viktor&Rolf now fully integrated into the Group, OTB further reinforces its position in the Haute Couture segment. At the same time, the continued involvement of the brand’s founders ensures that its distinctive creative identity remains at the core of its future development.
