Built Around Spring/Summer 2028 Ready-to-Wear

The subject of the project is the Spring/Summer 2028 womenswear ready-to-wear collection. Fashion design students from the 2026–2027 academic year will interpret Viktor&Rolf’s creative universe while constructing a creative direction of their own.

Concretely, students will design three key-look prototypes and produce both digital and printed lookbooks, before going one step further: devising an innovative presentation concept for Paris Fashion Week that goes beyond the traditional runway. It is a brief befitting a maison that has continually redefined how fashion is shown.

Launching in November With a Masterclass by Both Founders

The project opens in November with an exclusive masterclass on the Paris campus led by Horsting and Snoeren, who will introduce the maison’s creative philosophy and present the project brief in person.

Over the course of the program, students will take part in two online mentoring sessions with the Viktor&Rolf design team before presenting their final work in Paris to representatives of the maison.

An Internship in Amsterdam for the Winner

True to Viktor&Rolf’s longstanding commitment to nurturing emerging talent, the project also opens doors to real career opportunities. The winning student will be awarded an internship within the ready-to-wear Bridal Design department in Amsterdam.

In addition, all participants will receive privileged access to Viktor&Rolf’s upcoming couture exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, while two or three selected students will gain backstage experience as dressers at the maison’s ready-to-wear showroom in Paris from October.

Valérie Berdah-Levy, Chief Operating Officer of Istituto Marangoni France, said the collaboration “reflects Istituto Marangoni Paris’ commitment to building strong connections with leading players in the fashion industry,” adding: “Beyond its academic dimension, the project creates a meaningful dialogue between education and creative practice, giving students the opportunity to engage directly with Viktor&Rolf’s vision while exploring the future of ready-to-wear fashion.”
