On January 14, Prada presented the Fall/Winter 2024 men’s collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons at Milan Fashion Week Men’s.

The show venue featured a natural landscape in an urban office setting, created by AMO,  a research and design studio of OMA, an international architecture research institute. Underneath the glass-walled runway, grass and reeds grow thickly, and a gently running stream flows by. By combining the inorganic, harsh office environment with the contrasting vitality of nature, Raf Simons explored fundamental truths of humanity, our instincts, and our emotional needs.

The collection, titled “HUMAN NATURE,” proposed a wearable and playful business style for working men. The male models strutted around in suits and trench coats, wearing shirts and ties, immediately evoking the scene of going to work every morning.

Even in this environment, the rich colors of nature are accentuated by accessories such as colorful beanies, baker hats, balaclavas, sunglasses, belts, and other small items. In addition, light knit sweaters, cardigans, and pants were joined by retro-inspired vivid purples, khakis, reds, and yellows, giving the standard basic business look a playful, nostalgic look. Outerwear offered a route to the outdoors, with slim raincoats, tweed choir jackets, and MA-1 jackets with gold buttons, in addition to trench coats and Chesterfield coats.
