OTB Group Expands into Mexico as a Strategic Pillar in Its North American Growth Plan

OTB Group

On June 9, OTB Group—the international fashion and luxury conglomerate behind innovative brands such as Maison Margiela, Jil Sander, Diesel, and Marni—officially announced its full-scale entry into the Mexican market. With this move, the company positions Mexico as a key hub in North America, following the United States and Canada, aiming to strengthen its regional business foundation further.

The expansion marks a significant step in OTB’s long-term growth strategy centered on direct-to-consumer channels. In 2024, the Group established a local legal entity in Mexico to focus on the domestic development and direct management of its key brands—Maison Margiela (including MM6), Jil Sander, Diesel, and Marni.

“Mexico is an influential creative and cultural capital with its own distinctive style and vibrancy. Establishing a direct presence of our Group in the region is a key step in the growth path of our brands and in building a closer, more authentic connection with local customers and this amazing country,” said Renzo Rosso, Founder and Chairman of OTB Group.

Looking ahead, OTB will prioritize investments in urban areas centered around Mexico City, while also leveraging a strategic partnership with the luxury department store El Palacio de Hierro to open standalone stores and shop-in-shops in cities including Guadalajara, Monterrey, León, Cancún, Puebla, and Querétaro.

As the global luxury market regains momentum, OTB’s expansion into Mexico represents more than just geographic growth—it signals a strategic turning point and a new stage for brand expression in a culturally vibrant and creatively influential region, solidifying the Group’s presence in the Latin American market.
