Los Angeles-based wellness brand Alo has unveiled its first-ever sunglasses collection, carrying an accessories push that already spans footwear and Italian-made handbags into eyewear.

Designed in Los Angeles and handcrafted in Japan, the collection comprises six styles: rectangle, skinny oval, cat-eye, aviator and wire frame, joined by the sporty wraparound Speed silhouette that has become a brand signature. Prices run from $250 to $375, and the range goes on sale July 22 on the Alo website and at Alo Sanctuary stores worldwide, excluding Korea.

A Distinct Position Called “Luxury Wellness”

The launch is the latest expression of what Alo calls luxury wellness, a position designed to carry the brand beyond the leggings and matching sets it started with. Underlying it is the idea that what you wear to the studio, the bag you carry and the sunglasses you put on as you leave the house should all connect through a single point of view.

Eyewear is one of luxury’s most recognizable and relatively accessible entry points. Alo has no history in the category, but it enters on the conviction that its name recognition, its expanding store network and the cultural pull it has built around wellness can extend across a customer’s entire wardrobe.

From Footwear to Bags, and Now Eyewear

Alo’s expansion has been unfolding for several years. It entered footwear in 2023 with the Recovery Mode sneaker, then widened into lifestyle, performance and recovery styles. In fall 2025 it introduced its first bag collection in four shapes, presented as part of the Atelier line that pairs fine silk and cashmere with crisp tailoring, signaling a deliberate move toward luxury.

The brand has also carried its worldview beyond the wardrobe. Alo Voyage, staged aboard a yacht off the Côte d’Azur, took the spirit of its wellness clubs out to sea, blending fitness, vacation, fashion and polished hospitality. The sunglasses are the latest chapter in that borderless lifestyle.

Rather than beginning with a broad licensing proposition, Alo turned to Japanese artisans known for precision frame construction and acetate work. The craftsmanship in every frame, the brand says, reflects an uncompromising commitment to quality.

The collection uses Takiron acetate, with select frames featuring palladium- or gold-plated hardware. Each surface is hand-polished to a depth and luster that machine finishing cannot replicate.

The glasses were several years in development, and the hardest part was editing. Instead of fielding dozens of styles, Alo narrowed the range to six distinct silhouettes that are timeless, flattering and versatile, from a vintage-inspired wire frame to the sporty Speed that has come to define the brand’s aesthetic.

A Cinematic Campaign Shot in Miami

The campaign was filmed in Miami by director Bardia Zeinali, photographed by Stuart Winecoff and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. Set against convertibles, pools and a sun-bleached coastline, the restrained styling keeps the eyewear in the lead role.

Its cast numbers six: Lila Moss, Amelia Gray (Amelia Gray Hamlin), Lara Stone, Alton Mason, Estelle Chen and Matthew Noszka. Rather than sketching a single customer, each embodies a different approach to self-expression. Amelia Gray also appeared in the bag campaign, which makes this launch something of a full circle for her.

Positivity is one of Alo’s core values. The way you see the world is everything, and a conscious shift can change how the world looks, so the campaign layers that belief over the literal function of eyewear as something that alters your view.

The result is a campaign in which mindfulness, movement and modern luxury settle into a new form of everyday essential.
