Ujoh is a Japanese womenswear label founded by Mitsuru Nishizaki in 2009. After spending seven years as a pattern maker at Yohji Yamamoto, working on Y’s for men and Yohji Yamamoto pour homme, Nishizaki launched Ujoh with a distinctive approach rooted in his patternmaking expertise. The brand is known for its innovative draped constructions and experimental approach to classic wardrobe pieces, combining essential tailoring with bold cutting that respects the nature of fabric. In 2016, Ujoh was selected for Giorgio Armani’s young designer support program and presented its collection in Milan. The brand currently shows at Paris Fashion Week, bringing a refined Japanese sensibility of asymmetry and fluid movement to the international fashion scene.
