Only 4 days until NYFW! Highlights of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 Collection

After Labor Day, the world’s four major fashion weeks will finally begin. New York Fashion Week will take place over six days this month, from Friday the 8th to Wednesday the 13th, and brands will present their Spring/Summer 2024 collections in both digital and physical formats.

Coach, which had a show during the official Fashion Week calendar each time this season, will hold a runway show for the Spring/Summer 2024 collection prior to Thursday, September 7.

In the past few years, we have seen a change in the climate surrounding New York Fashion Week. This is because several well-known New York-born fashion brands, such as Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, are holding shows outside the official calendar. As for this season, Thom Browne, the president of CFDA, is absent, while a regular attendee Peter Do is scheduled to participate in Paris Fashion Week.

While more than 100 brands participated in the previous year’s spring/summer collection, only about 70 brands are participating this season. However, there will be plenty to see and do at New York Fashion Week from day one, starting with Peter Do’s Helmut Lang at 2 p.m. on the 8th. At 7 p.m. on the same day, the legendary American designer Ralph Lauren will make his comeback to New York Fashion Week after a four-year hiatus. Other NYFW names such as Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Tory Burch will also participate.

Up-and-coming designers are also drawing attention. Among them, one cannot miss Khaite, which continues to present simple yet graceful collections that express three-dimensional curves. Luar and Puppets & Puppets also have a strong fan base for their unique designs.

Among those participating for the first time are Advisry, Chan Chit Lo, FFORME, Grace Ling, and Sho Konishi. This year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists Colin LoCascio, Diotima, Kim Shui, Kozaburo, Melitta Masterbuilder, Melitta Baumeister, Sami Miró Vintage, Tanner Fletcher, Who Decides War, and Zankov will also participate in the collection showcase.
