Celine to Launch Its First Beauty Line

On March 13, LVMH-owned Celine announced the launch of the brand’s first beauty line. The first collection to be launched is a set of 15 lipsticks called “Le Rouge Celine.”

The brand released a new film “La Collection De L’Arc De Triomphe” on its official Instagram to showcase the Fall/Winter 2024 collection, and used the upcoming lipsticks on its models in the movie.

“Rouge Triomphe,” a red color with a satin finish, will be the first lipstick to be launched in fall 2024, and the full line of 15 colors will debut in January 2025. The beautiful rouge collection is housed in a gold case embossed with the brand’s logo, elevating the typical French makeup essentials to luxury.

Celine launched Celine Beauté in 2019. The brand has launched a fragrance line developed with designer Hedi Slimane, and he will work on the makeup line as well.
Céline will also debut a new beauty collection each season, including lip balms, mascaras, eye pencils, loose powders, and blushes.

In the press release, the brand said, “The creation of Celine Beauté comes to enrich the cultural roots, promoting a French idea of femininity and allure, distilled over the last five years by Slimane in his new institutional codes for the Maison Celine.”

Currently, Kering’s beauty department is developing beauty lines for Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen. In addition, following Prada Beauty and Hermès, luxury brands are recently further entering the beauty sector, including Rabanne, A.P.C., and Marni.
