The UN Global Compact urges companies across the globe to synchronize their operations and strategies with the ten universally acknowledged principles encompassing human rights, labor standards, environment, and anti-corruption. Additionally, it encourages them to actively contribute towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing the associated objectives and challenges.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact has more than 15,000 corporate and 3,000 non-corporate members based in more than 160 countries and more than 70 regional networks, according to the press release.

Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada Group Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, said, “By joining the UN Global Compact, the Prada Group strengthens its commitment to generate a more sustainable development, able to produce long-term value for the entire community in an effort to build the future we all want. Joining forces through synergies between players from different sectors, with shared and common objectives, is crucial to make a real change happen”.
